In conjunction with our partners, we have the knowledge, training and backup to design, model and install SUDs systems for industrial and commercial developments from a few square metres to many hectares.
SUDs mimic the natural rainfall runoff pattern of Greenfield sites which have been built upon. SUDs technology has developed over the last ten years into a proven environmental concept with many benefits to biodiversity and amenity.
SUDs design slows down the passage of rainwater to a watercourse. When an area of concrete or asphalt replaces natural surfaces, rainwater runs off it to a watercourse very quickly. This leads to increased pollution and erosion. By incorporating SUDs techniques, rainwater can be slowed down, stored and treated, if necessary, before it reaches a river or stream.
Implementation of SUDs means
- Reduced peak flows to watercourses
- Reduced volumes to watercourses
- Reduced erosion
